As the nonprofit arm of SpokenExistence, Inc., the
SpokenExistence Foundation recognizes and celebrates the
inherent strengths of community and solidarity.  The
foundation seeks to affirm and nurture creativity and activism,
as well as address the emotional, mental and spiritual health
of women and girls of African descent.

The vision of the SpokenExistence Foundation is to:

• Recognize and celebrate the inherent strengths among
  women and girls of African descent
  
• By financially sustaining community-based programming
  and organizations
  
• By nurturing creativity and activism
  
• Through counseling, educational, and employment
  services and referrals
  
• We hope to achieve this vision throughout the Chicago
  area by utilizing our directors and volunteers.  Our focus
  in Chicago will primarily be on the southwest side of the
  city, but will branch out according to the needs of the
  community.
