Through the loving and critical eyes of Black
womyn, AquaMoon's compelling new stage
production, Brotha...Wassup sun? asks:
'Who and what are Black men?' Volume II
addresses multi-layered issues including the
Vietnam vet that came home an emotional
and mental wreck and uses alcohol as his
escape, the informal economy in the hood ie.
the 'Loosies Man', brothas loving women
that are dealing with the residual effects of
being sexually abused, family, power and
image, brothas being locked-up as big
business booms. Volume II encourages men
to come see the production and to be a part
of this complex dialogue. As with
Volume I,
AquaMoon combines choreography, poetry,
recorded and live music, and singing into a
thought provoking choreopoem.
