The voice (in Aqua Beats and Moon Verses: Volume I) is strong
and brave, often swirling and soaring with the zeal of true spiritual
questing. The writing style is hip, colorful and there is a wonderful
buzz of energy in the writing (and the music) that makes you want
to bust through every wall of bs and suppression. It’s like a new
age Allen Ginsberg rant at America, spelled with a k. These poets
are all about encouraging African-American woman to free
themselves in order to self-define their roles in the Black
community, hip hop culture and overall society.

There are centuries of untold stories imprinted on the souls of
Black womyn.
Aqua Beats and Moon Verses gives a voice to
these soul tales, healing those fighting to be heard and all who
listen.  Armed with the strength and wisdom of the ancestors and
the promise of a lasting legacy for future generations, camil.
williams (Aqua) and veronica precious bohanan (Moon) are
creative vessels, transforming the
culture of wom(b)anhood--one word at a time.

Aqua Beats and Moon Verses
is not just a womon's story, it's one
of the most artistic pieces of social commentary I've seen in a long
time.  A refreshing showcase of edutainment infused with soul,
poetry, hip-hop, jazz, song & dance, that tells every girl and
woman's story.  The choreopoem genuinely deserves a long
stage run, as it's a must see for young womyn...
The book is a must own!

Before Aqua Beats and Moon Verses, we only had, for colored
girls…
to edify us.  It is nice to have found one more.

Aqua Beats and Moon Verses
is an amazing journey
every young womon should read it out loud with her sista friends.
The words flow with energy and the raw truth ranging from an
array of topics that most womyn of color will identify with on a
personal level...I am honored to endorse this powerful book.
When you read it, be prepared to learn, grow, evolve....
