All Movements begin and are maintained by womyn and children. It is
time for us, sistas, to come to the forefront and re-make, re-imagine and
re-present ourselves to each other and to the world. It is time for us to
unite across ideologies, be unapologetically womon and create change
from a feminine gaze. No, we are not monolithic but we can come
together in solidarity around issues that effect us, our families,
communities and our children.
in the round there is no hierarchy, judgment or shame in saying, "I do
not know, but I want to learn."
We will meet quarterly, and in 2010 we will have an (inter)national
meeting in Chicago, with sistas from all over the country/world.
When we are not meeting, we will be doing online activism via blogs and
twitter around issues that effect womyn, children and families. So, come
build with us in cyberland-- blogging and twitter. If you do not have a
blog or twitter and need assistance in setting up an account, email us at

Why blogging and twitter?
-We all have busy lives and schedules so physically meeting is not always
possible.
-To get sistas around the world on the internet, to promote our issues,
and not be afraid of technology or left behind as technology advances.
-In solidarity, unite our voices and create a safe space for sistas to discuss
the issues that move us and to encourage and advocate for social justice
policies that benefit women and families.
